A boldly imaginative, unreal and almost comic-book visual style (or maybe that was the wine/lager/whiskey haze), it held my attention as much as it needed to, without jumping out and forcibly rubbing itself up against my affections. Hopefully George Clooney will spend more time on this other side of the camera. I felt that he'd adsorbed the textures of various films that he's been involved in onto his directorial style.
