Some people played some music for a while.

The impartial BBC cut out the politics.

Hmmm. Is this your way of gently suggesting the BBC should have reported things differently? In what way?

In as much as, so that they did not breach their guidelines on political impartiality, they showed very little of the video pieces between the acts that the live crowd were shown.

They were "there for the music" as Jonathon Ross admitted.

Them's the rules, I guess, and you can see why they had to do what they did.

However, its a shame, 'cos with a bit more breathing space they might've been able to help educate the nation a whole lot more on this. As a viewer I personally was looking forward to more than just the music (but then I am very boring!)

Still, a thoroughly-enjoyable day (even though much of it was just background to the other "stuff" that I was doing).)

Enough, Starbuck. This was supposed to be a minimalist review.

Ooh lots of good points there... I have to admit I hadn't noticed - I had it on in the background. You're right that they missed out on an opportunity to educate there.

Thank you.
