Fascinating - a freely searchable library of 20,000 photographs from the the National Monuments Record covering hundreds of years of English history. Looking at grainy black and white images of places I know so well such as Kenilworth Castle, familiar despite being taken many generations ago, certainly gets my evocativation glands pumping. It gives those of us who can no longer time-travel a tangible glimpse of the past. Techno-kids might thing this sort of thing is boring, old hat. Its not.
